What identification is required for notarization?
A current government-issued photo ID that meets Massachusetts notary requirements is generally required. Other legally permitted methods of identification may apply in certain circumstances. If you’re unsure whether your identification is acceptable, contact me before your appointment.
What should I have ready before my appointment?
Have your document complete and ready for notarization, but don’t sign it beforehand if your notarial act requires signing in the notary’s presence. All required signers must personally appear with satisfactory identification. Please do not leave blanks in the document.
Where can the mobile appointment take place?
Mobile appointments are available at homes, workplaces, hospitals, senior facilities, coffee shops, and other mutually agreed-upon public or private locations throughout the service area.
